Through-hikers will end Day 2 with a vigorous walk tohilltop Arbutus Hill B & B.

To the West Coast: Esquimalt Lagoon

 Royal Roads University offers spacious motel-style rooms with private bathrooms, located on castle grounds and skirted by a lagoon and old growth forest. Could you spend a night there?  Habitat Cafe next door offers breakfast, snacks and meals; cafeteria-style, but don’t let that fool you - it’s delicious and a quaint local pub is an easy forest walk away


You know you’re on the West Coast when arrive at Birds of a Feather B & B! Guests are welcome to use the kayaks or canoe on the lagoon, borrow the bicycles or try out the deck chairs and enjoy the view.

This is a perfect location for an extra-day for history buffs and garden enthusiasts, as it is close to three national historic sites, botanical gardens as well as artists studios.

Sooke Basin

Congratulations, you’ve arrived!

Arbutus Cove B & B
is the last stop of the trek, located right on the Galloping Goose regional hiking and cycling trail.  Your spacious room leads out onto the deck with hot tub, overlooking Sooke Basin.

Dinner is a short walk away, as are kayak tours and rentals.
The town of Sooke is within easy reach by bicycle or bus.  Relax. Stay. You've earned it!
